Hi I'm Moggie ,
I am originally from Maryland, but now call Winter Park Florida home after residing
here for 37 years.
Most of my life has been spent experimenting with different mediums of arts and crafts,
everything from drawing to basket weaving.
For 9 summers while raising a family, I taught arts and crafts at Rollins College summer
day camp, and for 2 more years as Art teacher for grades K-8 at Calvary Assembly School.
My first interest in Watercolor began on a summer vacation about 15 years ago (1999)
with my mother in law, who was a member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society at that time.
Through the years I have attended classes at Maitland Art Center, Crealde, Leu Gardens,
and workshops with Peter Spataro, Tom Jones, Tom Lynch, Joe Fettingus , Barbara Simmons
and others.
I am a member of the Central Florida Watercolor Society and currently painting with a
dozen women in the Winter Park area. I have exhibited my work at The Shakespeare Theatre
,Windermere and Apopka Libraries, and Orlando City Hall.
I find Watercolor painting a challenging medium with many possibilities and techniques to explore.
